Position: Senior Data Architect (FTSE100 Client) Location: Central London (zone 1) Start date: asap Role type: Permanent Salary: £80-90K 15% pension 10-15% bonus healthcare life assurance 25 days holiday The Client Our client is a long established FTSE 100 Company based in Central London. A rare opportunity has arisen based in their prestigious West End HQ to join an exciting new Programme of multiple projects within the Finance & IT Departments of this organisation. The Role as Senior Data Architect We require a strong Data Architect with excellent Analysis skills and extensive experience of high profile assignments within blue-chip companies to work closely with the Programme Manager where your role will be to define strategy and principles for data management and defining the standard for all data within the enterprise utilising ETL, Data Modelling, Business Intelligence and Business Objects. Responsibilities include proposing solutions to improve data quality, act as a liaison between consumer representatives and IT department, and be responsible for the development and maintenance of an Enterprise Business intelligence platform. Duties: Design conceptual, logical and physical data models, identifying the organisation’s key data suppliers and consumers and defining data supply agreements Develop a master data management strategy that defines the processes for cleansing data, harmonising data attributes and ensures completeness, consistency and integrity of master data Define governance processes to maintain robust data, to include business as usual processes to identify and fix data inconsistencies and to provide feedback to data suppliers to continuously improve the data production processes and the related outputs Develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of cross-system integration, interactions and relationships in order to develop an enterprise view of the clients (in scope) data needs Lead business subject matter experts through the identification and definition of forecasting projects data issues, documenting the results of the analysis Conduct data model reviews with project team members/business subject matter experts Identify data requirements and related KPIs, metrics, etc; perform and document data source gap analysis Work with business leads and systems implementation partners to define database/datawarehousing requirements and data interfaces Work with internal resource and system implementation partners to design datawarehouse and datamart structures The Senior Data Architect Candidate In addition to excellent communication, collaboration and people management skills, you should possess very good organisational skills, be a pragmatic person and highly focused on deliverables and process efficiencies and have the ability to work under pressure on multiple projects. Experience required; Data Architect experience (5 years) Knowledge of Big Data environments (Hadoop & PhP) Documented experience (at least 2 years) with ETL in the context of data warehouses Data warehousing, including business line and enterprise data warehouses, operational data stores, and business intelligence data structures Experience in Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Model design Hands on skills in SQL, Python, AWS & Azure infrastructures, Alteryx & Tableau Broad IT experience with in-depth understanding of data strategies, data models, ETL design & development, data-related: tooling, methods, integration, infrastructure, and security models Strong knowledge of SQL, C#, SOA and web services Strong knowledge of entity relationships Strong knowledge of master data management Knowledge and/or experience with service oriented architecture entities and frameworks Knowledge of database performance/tuning/measurement, as well as user access and data manipulation Knowledge of Business Objects, Tableau etc If you feel like you meet the above criteria of the Senior Data Architect, Please apply now This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89652012
