Security Consultant (Third party supplier assurance) Umbrella My client a leading brand in the Edinburgh area are actively looking for someone to take the lead on processes and procedures, in order to build out and develop their third party supplier assurance framework. This is will be an initial 6 month contract and they are ideally looking for someone who would be available to start ASAP. Key Tasks: Review and develop third party management. Support 3rd party and business Information Security assurance activities. Engage with external suppliers as appropriate to manage assessment and monitoring activities. Support the successful delivery of the Enterprise Information Security Function. Provide technical support and guidance to business areas in relation to Information Security. Skills: Information Security, particularly third party management as relevant to Information Security, monitoring compliance and assurance to Information Security policies. Ability to work within a number of Information Security areas to support a broad assurance framework. Good stakeholder management skills, with an ability to understand and communicate technical detail to a non-technical audience. Risk assessment/risk management skills. Knowledge: Understanding of working in a Digital business and the impact on information security. Understanding of how to apply Information Security best practice to large scale enterprise environments. Good technical knowledge the security impact on established and up and coming technologies. Not required but advantageous, knowledge and understanding of Financial Services regulatory/compliance requirements in information security. Experience/ Qualifications: Previous successful experience of a similar role and activities. Experience of working with different areas (or domains) of Information Security. CISSP
