Overview
I have an exciting opportunity to work with a young boy, he loves to be out and about and is very active. He can exhibit behaviour that challenge. The support is on a 2 to 1 basis so you would not be lone working. It is very important that you can commit to working Weekends and school holidays and that you have previous knowledge of working with autistic children. The support is two fold it give the service user a chance to get out and undertake meaningful activities he loves to run and is full of life, plus it give the family some well needed respite. The right person would need to have the following skills - Patience, - Personal care experience - Ability to think on your feet - be physically fit and be able to run -Experience of working with challenging behaviour. The pay is £10.00 per hour and the rewards are that you provide a service that greatly impacts on a family life If you feel you have the right skills and experience ,please contact me now The role is subject to D.B.S. check, for which there is a charge of £44 (this can be claimed back once you have worked 100 hrs with), unless you can provide an update service registration with the DBS for the required level. In addition you will need to undertake a competency based face to face interview, be able to provide 2 care references, and attend 1 day’s induction training. Reed community care is a CQC registered care provider and we are looking for people to commit to ongoing roles, this will enable staff to build up meaning full relationships with the service users and provide excellent outcomes.
