Support Worker

I am an active 18 year old who is looking for the right person to support me out in the community undertaking activity based fun. I have a learning disability so I will need some support with personal care, your duties will include supporting me to attend activities which include anything where I can burn of some energy and have fun, and this could include swimming, trampolining, running round local parks. My support is required every Saturday and during school holiday, you don’t need to commit to doing all the support as I have a small dedicated team of support worker. Due to personal care I would prefer a male worker but I am happy to look at females if you have the right qualities and experience. You will need the following skill and qualities Be physically fit and be able to run Experience of epilepsy. Dedication and commitment. Ability to think on your feet. Proactive and inventive. Experience of working with young people. Be able to drive my mobility car The pay is £9.00 per hour We will be looking for people who have at least 6 month experience in the care sector. If you feel you have the right skills and experience, please contact me now The role is subject to D.B.S. check, for which there is a charge of £44 (this can be claimed back once you have worked 100 hrs with), unless you can provide an update service registration with the DBS for the required level. In addition you will need to undertake a competency based face to face interview, be able to provide 2 care references, and attend 1 day’s induction training.
