Role Title Systems Test Engineer Location Cheltenham Duration 12 Months Rate £55.00p/hr To define, design, build, and commission an ATA24 Test Bench An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Power Distribution System Engineer. This position is required to fulfil a new opportunity to develop a state of art ATA24 aircraft certification facility. In this role you will utilise your experience to design, build and commission the laboratory, then support aircraft certification testing. · Capturing, understanding and documenting system requirements and interfaces Executing system engineering activities for testing equipment or for design implemented in electronic hardware and software, ensuring the facility's compliance to regulations · Contributing to the integration and delivery across functions of either laboratory requirements or of end products functional requirements · Contributing to the design, installation, integration, commissioning, usage, and sustainment of electrical power test equipment to time, cost, and quality Leading assigned personnel, if required · Supervising or rig directing test activities and laboratory usage, if required Creating and performing systems tests · Documenting required technical and configuration data, including schematics, in line with engineering policies and procedures · Experience of the systems design lifecycle within aerospace or a similar embedded systems development environment, including RTCA DO-178B/C, SAE ARP4754A or similar rigorous development standard · Significant experience of electrical test equipment and system verification activities. · Experience of electrical and laboratory safety regulations · Experience of electrical schematics · Experience of test equipment, and/or software / hardware engineering · An accredited degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Physics or similar subject, or equivalent level of knowledge and experience · Positive attitude and ability to contribute in a team environment · Good problem solving and solution building skills · Good written and verbal communication skills · Use of system and electrical engineering tools PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE IS INSIDE IR35.
