Overview
My Client provides a huge range of arcade and amusement machines covering every genre imaginable. They have a brand new role for a Compliance Engineer who will be working within the Electrical Design team to bring coin operated Electromechanical & Video amusement products to the marketplace. Your main duties will be: To identify, implement and maintain Product & Trade compliance routes for national and international markets. Ensure all products follow national and international directives and standards including EMC, LVD, FCC, UL, RoHS3 & WEEE. Attend product testing at compliance labs as well as conducting in-house pre-compliance LVD & EMC testing. To keep sales, technical & managerial teams informed of regulatory requirements that might impact on procedures and costs. Have an up to date knowledge of potential changes to rules and regulations for certifications. Experience/Skills - NVQ BTEC 3 or equivialent - 1 years experience in Product conformity for EMEA & USA markets - Working knowledge of design of wire harness assemblies and electrical products such as SMPSU, PLC, Audio systems. - Experience of 2D CAD - Detail-oriented and organised with ability to multitask and manage/prioritise through shifting schedules in work-flow. - Strong communication and organisational skills will enable the candidate to work closely with other team members to ensure that aggressive targets, both time and cost, are achieved.
