Overview
Peruzzi Associates are looking for a professional Senior Platform Engineer (Cloud) who has experience within the IT industry and a good working knowledge of AWS. You will have a large amount of autonomy to learn and get involved, a clear and meaningful purpose, the backing to learn all things cloud and improve cloud platforms. You will also have the support and freedom to employ industry-leading engineering practices, with a clear focus on customer needs, internal and external. Location to be based out of their growing offices in Birmingham. As a member of the platform team specialising in cloud technology, you will be responsible for delivering and developing capabilities in our platform in order to sustain a high-performance, reliable and scalable cloud platform for our internal and external customers. What we’re looking for? - Be technically adept with expert level experience and hands-on knowledge of a major public cloud, preferably AWS. - Experienced with Pair Programming and able to review and provide feedback collaboratively with junior members of the team. - Have strong knowledge of maintaining technical standards in a codebase - AWS Certification (Professional & Specialist) - Be an ambassador for the cloud and able to support and onboard individuals and teams from different business areas - Work with the Architecture team to take a leadership role in the delivery of new platform features - Take ownership of specific problems and delivering customer-focused outcomes - Work with Engineering and Development teams to upskill their capabilities in their relevant technology area Requirements - Public Clouds, such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud, services they offer and their SDK’s. i.e. Amazon ECS, Lambda, IAM, boto3, aws-sdk-go - Git - Gitlab/ GitHub & The Code Review process - Terraform / Terragrunt - CI/CD Tooling and processes, such as CodePipeline or Atlantis - A popular scripting/programming language, such as Bash, Python, javascript or Golang - Linux/Unix systems - Agile, DevOps, GitOps, NoOps etc - ECS, Lambda, IAM Many more - Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing Interested in finding out more?
