With a continued focus on the development of or clients pharmaceutical portfolio an opportunity has arisen for a Medical Ethics Lead. In this role the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in channelling the clients scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives. This role is based at Head Office which is home to the UK Marketing Company (UKMC), responsible for the marketing of our medicines in the UK. Here youll also find colleagues from the clients corporate functions and European and International regions sales and marketing teams. As a member of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI), all of the companys sales, marketing and communications activities are subject to the ABPI Code of Practice. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership, quality assurance and management for Medical & Scientific Affairs and the UKMC, including optimization of all internal processes, document curation, and policy/code related guidance by: Partnering with our Respiratory and CVRM (Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism Business Units with respect to Code compliance to enable advances in clinical practice Driving simplification and agility across medical compliance processes Leading and coordinating the cross-functional Company Governance team Establishing strong relationships with ABPI Networks/other external networks to help evolve the Code Our client believes in the potential of their people and will develop you beyond what you thought possible. Qualifications Registered Physician (preferably GMC registered) or Pharmacist (General Pharmaceutical Council registered) Proven expertise in the ABPI Code of Practice Person/Experience Required Essential: Registered Physician (preferably GMC registered) or Pharmacist (General Pharmaceutical Council registered) Deep understanding of the UK pharma industry and the theory and practice of the ABPI Code of Practice Proven track record of people and performance management Good track record in terms of integrity and personal reputation Demonstrate a pragmatic approach Expertise in at least one of the specified disease/therapy areas Highly developed communication skills linked to strong interpersonal skills Desirable: Member/Fellow of a Royal College or the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Change Management experience Contact Information Chemistree Solutions Ltd is a healthcare recruitment specialist.
