The Role: Support Garment Design and Development teams to build innovative and good quality products of the future. You will be responsible for adhering to the product development critical path from concept to bulk production.There will be significant room to grow within the role. Research · Support design research of new products, technical improvements, detailing, innovation on construction techniques and fabric & trim sourcing and development · Support or manage the process of material and trims sourcing/development -Support ordering sample lengths and responsible for keeping yarn/fabric matrix up to date · Management of reference sample archive, photographing, measuring, labelling and storage Design · Support in tech pack process, CAD amendments, measurement charts and BOMs · Support product launch and tech pack handover to sample room with follow up communications and problem solving Development · Responsible for day to day follow up with factories & suppliers on status of prototypes, prices, MOQs etc, ensuring that key updates, information of divergence or delays is communicated to all relevant teams · Management of prototypes, measuring, photographing, labelling prior to fit sessions · Organizing of fitting sessions making sure all departments are coordinated, including models · Support fit comments process with fit sessions and updating of tech packs following · Management of prototype archive, labelling and storage · Responsible for logo, care labels, lab dip developments · Support in creating production ready tech packs, checking of grade charts and BOM details General · Support communications with relevant suppliers and daily follow up of prototyping and raw materials sourcing: problem solving, providing information · Maintain an organised fabric and trim library on an ongoing basis · Be a go to for and provide support to cross functional teams when senior team members are working remotely.This will require the candidate to always be up to speed on all the garment projects being worked on at any one time The Candidate: · Technical product development background, preferably with experience in sportswear. · Experience in both CMT and knit constructions · An avid interest in the creative design process, building beautiful product and innovation within garment development · Capability of working on multiple projects in parallel and cross functional teams. · Experience of sourcing and developing raw materials. · Experience working to a Product Development calendar and tight deadlines · Experience of working closely with manufacturers for development · Incredibly organised and with a systematic approach to working · Motivated and inquisitive.Ready to learn new skills and grow within the role Ginger Recruitment is an independent North-West recruitment consultancy, based in Ribchester.
