Senior Data Engineer Responsibilities: Work as part of an agile Data Engineering Team Work with technical leads and business stakeholders to create data solutions that perform at scale Maintenance of our on-premises, transactional and analytical, MS SQL Server Infrastructure Development of greenfield microservices in Microsoft Azure Train (and learn from) team members through pair programming, workshops and guidance Create robust ETL services and real-time data pipelines Responsible for delivery implementation of both functional and non-functional requirements Build and maintain continuous integration, deployment pipelines with test automation at its core Senior Data Engineer Requirements: Strong hands-on .Net Core and C# knowledge including object-oriented software design and development Firm understanding of software architectural best practices, such as SOLID principles Strong hands-on knowledge of implementing API’s Exposure to building data services using Cosmos DB, Azure SQL server in Azure environment Providing training, guidance and influence on team members at all levels Building Continuous Integration/Deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Demonstrable understanding of MS SQL Server in a highly transactional environment Able to understand query plans and identify performance bottlenecks Ability to communicate an understanding of transactions, locking and isolation levels Experience developing ETL processes Azure Databricks / Data Lakes Monitoring / Alerting / Cataloguing / Event Messages and storage experience Senior Data Engineer Benefits: 1 day a week remote working option Competitive salary & generous contributory pension scheme Free fitness sessions and company sponsored sports events, such as a yearly half marathon On site barista & free fruit Table football and other games Regular team social events Legendary Christmas & Summer parties Flexible hours If you think that you are suitable for this Senior Data Engineer role, please apply now Our client provides support services to Betway and is a proud member of the Betway Group.
