Availability and Capacity Manager Global Technology Consulting £45k - £48k Benefits package Barrow in Furness, Cumbria We have been asked by this global technology consulting organisation to assist in the recruitment of an Availability and Capacity Manager. The purpose of IT capacity management is to ensure that the capacity needs, as well as performance-related targets of IT services and IT infrastructure, are met in a cost-effective manner. Skills / Environment Good knowledge of MS Office suite, especially Excel Service management system (ITSM or SNOW) Capacity Monitoring Tools (e.g. Syncsort Athene) Basic understanding of an IT infrastructure, such as storage, networks, servers, databases and ideally also IBM Mainframe. Desirable An understanding of virtualised environments An understanding of databases including MS SQL & Oracle Knowledge of Capacity Monitoring tools Role Overview We are after an enthusiastic individual to work as a part of a Capacity Management team which provides Capacity related reporting, analysis and planning to the various client accounts. The job will include general administrative tasks as well as basic capacity reporting and performing maintenance tasks on Capacity Monitoring Tools (predominantly Syncsort Athene).
