We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst Programmer to help support the IT Operations team to analyse, design, support, maintain and develop core IT applications. You will be analysing requirements and designs as well as testing new and existing application software. This role will also have the responsibility for delivering local and remote support on a range of technical incidents, planned maintenance and commissioning/ decommissioning activity across all of our locations. P&O are transforming the way they do business and the IT team are at the heart of this transformation. We have multiple projects being undertaken that IT are leading on and this role will help provide support to the project teams preparing the business for new or changed services and maintenance of regulatory, legal and professional standards. This is a highly technical role that will require an exceptional individual who displays both the technical experience as well as the ability manage multiple stakeholders across the business. To be successful in this role it is essential that you have the following experience: - An industry recognised qualification or a Senior Analyst Programmer with good experience from within a large multi- site environment - Solid understanding of SSAS, SSIS, relational databases, MIS, COBOL, Fortran, VMS, Java and Wintel Infrastructure - Highly client focused in the delivery of service - Fantastic organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at anyone time - Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving - Experience with multiple modelling methodologies combined with the understanding of which is most appropriate and when - Expertise in incident/ change management tools.
