Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading utilities supplier as an Works Scheduler/Planner , our client is currently seeking a Works Scheduler/Planner , based in Leicester in LE2 . This a full-time temporary contract for 12 months paying in the region of £25K, working a 38.75 hours per week, there is flexibility in the hours for this role which will be Monday to Friday between 8am and 8pm. Job Summary To work closely with the Area Manager to produce the Area annual baseline programme for mains replacement, reinforcement works, and client driven works as required. Obtaining the relevant permissions to carry out the work i.e. permits. Updating progress and rescheduling as required and ensure data accuracy within the systems. To assist in the effective and cost efficient sequencing of the works in liaison with the Area Manager and operational delivery team. To control the receipt of approved projects within the area and ensure they are accurately recorded in the appropriate systems. To schedule work into an agreed programme and apply for all relevant permissions, traffic orders, traffic management plans etc To prepare programmes of work for each Highway Authority / Stakeholder and attend co ordination meetings as required Attend weekly planning meetings and other meetings as required Update actual progress on a weekly basis, at PON level within Microsoft Project or Primavera and at street level To reschedule the programme as instructed. Assist with the creation of daily / weekly team / project whereabouts Responsible for ensuring data accuracy within Primavera or Microsoft Project. To provide accurate timely reports as and when required. External and Internal communication processes with all relevant stakeholders (e.g. Local authorities, SHEQ, National Grid, Operational Delivery Team) Assist the Area Manager in resource planning Carry out any other duties appropriate for this post. General Experience: Experience in programme planning and management. Able to demonstrate experience of programme/project planning tools and techniques. Good Organisation and Planning skills. Good communication skills are required and the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent time management skills. Meticulous approach to ensuring accuracy of data. Qualifications / Experience Relevant HNC level Qualification is desirable Full UK Driving Licence
