Manufacturing Operator Location: Templecombe Due a growing demand of workload within manufacturing, specifically our 1-3 composite area, a requirement has arisen for a full time manufacturing operator to join the manufacturing team. This role is vital to the success of the department and in its supply of products to other parts of Thales and its customers. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for the next step up in their career or someone interested in working in a manufacturing environment that has the key fundamental skills to carry out the role. The key focus is to ensure we provide a consistently high quality of product on time to support the array production lines. This role would be ideal for a candidate that brings with them experience of electrical and mechanical assembly operations or an eagerness to learn. An understanding of Milling and grinding would with an advantage but it not essential. Key responsibilities and tasks: Performs electrical and mechanical assembly operations, as defined by; routings, manufacturing instructions, wiring schedules and drawings Identifies and logs faults Maintains any necessary documentation as part of the build process Ensures production equipment and tools are used and maintained to the required workshop standards Operating machinery, these include: Dicing, grinding and milling machines Technical and Professional Skills: Capable of working to manufacturing Instructions Experience in electrical and mechanical assembly Machining, milling, grinding or turning Experience of working in a multi-skilled production environment or similar Recognised mechanical craft or electrical, level 2 qualification is preferable but not essential Experienced PC user - MS Word and Excel To play a key role in driving the success of a worldwide organisation and to join a talented team click the apply button now.
