Overview
A leading UK Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing Technical Centre are looking for an Automation Technician with experience in running and monitoring manufacturing processes in high volume scenarios to operate and respond to breakdowns as part of a Manufacturing Operations team. Commutable from: Coventry, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, Rugby, Birmingham. Salary: £ 30,000 - £ 38,000 p.a. up to 16% Pension 25 days holiday. The Role The Automation Technician will: Operate and be the first to respond to breakdowns as part of a team. Ensure all equipment is set up, adjusted and in constant readiness for production. Fault finding and diagnosing of issues across a variety of control systems. Lead and support problem solving, continuous improvement and planned maintenance to production equipment. Undertake online and offline product validation testing. Some overseas travel may be required to support FAT and commissioning activities. Interface to Engineering/Product Development for future projects/campaigns with a strong relationship to the Quality Engineers/Dept The Person The Automation Technician will have: Indentured apprenticeship and 5 years of manufacturing experience. Experience in diagnostic, maintenance, troubleshooting, problem solving and repair of high speed/high precision process equipment. Experience in the Battery, Print, Pharmaceutical, High Speed production, automotive industries beneficial, automation and Robot training is desirable. Previous mentoring or team leading experience is beneficial, with training an option for the right candidate. Ability to read Electrical, Pneumatic or hydraulic drawings. Previous commissioning experience is ideal, however training possible for the right candidate. Experience with working under High voltage is ideal, however training to be provided to the right candidate.
