Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Highway / Transport Engineer to join a client in East Sussex. You will be responsible for designing and delivering a range of highway and transport schemes including cycling, walking and road safety as well as commissioning work under an NEC3 framework supervising projects on site. This is a full-time contract position. The rate on offer is £30 - £33 per hour - negotiable for the right candidate. Flexible working arrangements are available. Working within the Highways team your main duties include: - Designing and delivering a range of highway and transport projects across the area - Carrying out feasibility studies and consultation / public engagement programmes - Working on public transport, cycling, walking, road safety and other sustainable transport schemes - Overseeing work carried out by the contractor and designated consultancies Previous experience in Highways and Transportation is essential for this role.
