Overview

My client is looking for a Financial Director to manage the Financial Controller on its Private Estate as well as the substantial Refurbished Hotel which is finalising its stages and then will go into pre-opening phase over the next 3 months. The property will have 62 Bedrooms and a spa complex. However there are a group of hotels in South West Scotland which you will oversee. This will be a lifestyle move with Carlisle being the main focus as a major town surrounded by some stunning countryside in the glorious villages and smaller towns. The property is rural focused but is within 15 minutes of Carlisle. The Group Financial Controller will be responsible for a wide range of duties and will need a flexible, pragmatic an pro-active approach. Working closely with a the Director, the Group FC will need to be comfortable in the detail and will be happy consolidating Management and Financial information - from the stat accounts for the "head office", through to the budgeting and forecasting for the 3rd party operated assets. They will need to work closely with the 3rd party operator and a keen eye for contractual detail will be useful The Successful Applicant A qualified accountant with experience of the hospitality industry - ideally Hotels. An operational outlook. Comfortable working both with a large, multinational operator, and being in a small family "head office".
