Overview
Our client is looking for a Buyer to join their team. The right person should be highly commercial and passionate about driving cost efficiencies/reductions and maximising supplier income through collaboration. Responsibilities: Supporting the day to day management of suppliers and internal customer needs/deliverables Manage a portfolio of category lead suppliers Drive down cost of goods working in collaboration with suppliers Drive increase annual income through promotional contribution or other channels Support the compilation and commercial review of corporate tender submissions Set up and maintenance of new suppliers and products Source new products, supporting the category team Working with Demand Planning for forecasting and order management Essential Attributes: Previous buying/administrative experience Commercial relationship management Able to work effectively as part of a large multidisciplinary team Strong attention to detail Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Sourcing experience desired but not essential Company offer excellent working environment, good benefits and career opportunities.
