Buyer Cardiff (office-based) Salary – Competitive benefits Full Time, Permanent We are excited to have partnered with a market leading construction / engineering firm based in South Wales. Due to continued success our client is looking for a talented Buyer to join their team. Working closely with the Production Manager you will play a key role in the procurement of a wide range of materials specific to each project; working closely with Architects, Clients and suppliers. Key responsibilities: · Independently managing all supplier relationships. · Perform on time delivery of products or services and negotiate with suppliers to ensure best quality and value for money. · Conducting price / market analysis and driving annual cost reduction. · Working closely with the production team to ensure accurate costings. What you need to apply:- · Previous experience of working as a Buyer. · Analytical approach with superb problem-solving skills. · Proven experience of managing a busy workload. · Excellent communication, interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with both internal and external customers. · Confidently be able to demonstrate proven cost savings. · Personable and friendly character · Good communication and organizational skills · Superb attention to detail · Proficient in MS Office packages, including Excel. · Previous experience of working with architects or construction professionals considered highly desirable but not essential.
