Overview

The company have been running successfully now for almost 20 years and have become a real household name in Glasgow. They specialise in Cloud Services across public, private and hybrid cloud environments, and are now considered true experts in this area - officially an Advanced AWS Partner. The majority of their Development team are located across the Globe (Circa 12) and they are looking to bolster the team with another Skilled Developer in their Glasgow base (Circa 2). The company work with a range of modern technologies and tools, in addition to their consultancy work (100% based onsite in Glasgow), they have recently started to develop their own products for market - as a result they have recently added several DevOps Engineers to the team over the past year. To help push the production of these soon to be key platforms forward they are looking for an additional Software Developer to join their ranks. Ideally, they are looking for a Developer with several years of commercial experience using Java - preferably experience/knowledge with a couple different frameworks would stand yourself in good stead. In addition to this, at least an interest in Cloud Services would be more than beneficial (obviously since this will be a strong aspect of the role) - however the company are able to train people up in this area providing you have the right attitude and ability to do so. This role would suit an ambitious Developer looking to get involved within market leading products that are still within the early stages of development - you will be given lots of opportunities to help shape requirements into fully functioning code that will go to market - a rare treat for some Developers. You will ideally have experience with most of the following; Strong Java Skills (Ideally JavaEE & Core Java) Java Frameworks (Spring or Springboot or Hibernate etc) AWS (Highly beneficial) Databases; MySQL or Oracle (ideally both) Working in an Agile Environment The company have recently moved to a new modern office based in Glasgow City Centre - just walking distance from both Queen Street and Central Station.
