Responsibilities BI Solutions Architect We’re hiring Aon are currently recruiting a BI Solutions Architect to join our team in London. About the Role You will be a key member of the technical leadership team as we embark on a major business change programme. As well as driving forward the existing applications and platforms you will be involved in identifying and implementing new technology solutions to enable our IT function to be more responsive to our business as needs change and set the foundations for our future growth. This role is a mix of design, governance and hands on development. As a BI Developer you will be responsible for; Design and build of application features on one or more of our Rewards products Providing technical leadership to both technical and non-technical team members, on and off shore. Coordinating work across a global project team based in the UK, US and India. Governance of development standards within a team. Work with Project management and partner with Portfolio Manager. Work with the Development Manager and Rewards solution architecture team to define the technology roadmap, solution architectures and work plans. Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company. About you Your knowledge and expertise: As a Bi Developer you will have in depth, hands on experience of Microsoft technologies, particularly at the data layer. Key skills include; Hands on experience in Data modelling, databases and BI development is required as well as data load and transformation. Expertise in CI/CD, preferably AzureDevOps. AWS/Azure or similar cloud technology and cloud ready application architecture. Excellent communication and technical writing skills. Stakeholder management skills and ability to interact with senior stakeholders. Ability to work with multiple projects and business lines. .Net Knowledge is essential. Proven ability to translate business requirement into design and architecting software with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency and user experience. Articulate and document design and architectural principles. Infrastructure Architecture experience would be advantageous.
