Overview
Support Worker Job, Care Worker Job, Temporary, Young Adults, Complex Disabilities We are seeking a number of Care and support workers to support our Client in Crewe, who provide a safe and caring environment for young adults aged 16 with Learning Disabilities and Autism in a Residential setting. Our Clients main focus is on development, building friendships and relationships with others with similar life challenges. The areas of support you will be required to assist with are varied and depending on the individual needs, but can include: Personal and intimate care and support Assistance with administering medication Support with managing appearance Maintaining routine health and hygiene Support accessing day centres, further education and employment Support with managing finances and to develop budgeting skills Helping keep the person safe Teaching skills fundamental to independent living Enabling individuals to enjoy and achieve through specific planned activities tailored to the needs of each person We are looking for support workers who will be positive, compassionate and motivated, with excellent communication skills helping to guide young adults. Previous experience working in a Care or support worker position for at least 6 months is required. This is a challenging job however, highly rewarding. Whilst this is a temporary position there is a chance to go permanent, the work is regular and ongoing, offering a variety of shifts, including days, waking nights and weekend work, flexibly to suit your current situation. Both full time and part time hours can be accommodated. Working through Hays Social Care you will be provided with a FREE Enhanced DBS, access to free training including Safeguarding for Children and Adults, Health and Safety, First Aid, Manual Handling and Food Hygiene, along with ongoing support, regular bookings, Holiday Pay, and refer a friend schemes offering £250 per successful referral.
