Overview
THE JOB The role of the Expeditor will include the following duties: · £20,000 - £21,000 PA · Communicating to relevant departments when products have arrived and work with goods-in so that products are booked in. · You will maintain contact with suppliers and shipping companies while deliveries are en-route. · Preparing regular reports on the status open purchase orders to the Purchase Manager and Operations Team. · You will oversee communication and claim/return towards supplier when delivery does not comply with set specification in purchase order, such as quality and quantity and secure credits. · Processing new product codes on sage for parts and products. · You will make sure any new policies or procedures relating to suppliers and company systems is carried out. · Finding solutions to any supply chain issues as they arise. · You will make sure that all delivered goods are labelled to the right specification by supplier. · Managing exemption when goods are required faster than normal. · You will progress chase purchase orders with suppliers to ensure on time delivery. · You will keep departments up to date on what actual delivery dates are. THE PERSON · Must demonstrate good communication and people skills both written and verbal. · Will be extremely organised with strong attention to detail. · Must show a methodical approach to tasks and ability to multi-task. · Will be able to work under pressure with a good sense of initiative. · Can demonstrate a persistence to fulfilling tasks to a completion. · Be able to show preservation and determination. · Must have good computer skills. · Must have good numerical skills. · Should have intermediate IT skills and experience working with Excel.
