Overview
Compliance Officer Barker Munro Recruitment, the Kent based Insurance and Financial Services broker who is currently looking to add a Compliance Officer to their team. As the Compliance Officer, this is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the management team in assessing, advising, monitoring and reporting across the business with a view to establishing, implementing and maintaining a robust and effective compliance framework through the creation of appropriate policies and procedures. The role of compliance officer will entail undertaking administrative tasks, to help assist the compliance manager with the implementation and monitoring of FCA standards including communications with the regulator and cascading information through the business and to the appropriate departments. The team has huge experience with a range of expertise from Lloyd's and UK companies' underwriting backgrounds with the panel of insurers enabling them to underwrite large cases and risks. The role of compliance officer will require you to demonstrate exposure in compliance advisory, compliance testing or other risk control functions in the financial services industry, preferably within the in the insurance sector. You will ensure the business is compliant with all new FCA appropriate regulations. You will also have a keen eye for numbers and be able to gather information for the monthly MI, enhancing effectiveness where necessary. There are other ad hoc compliance and support duties that will be required of you, but hopefully you can demonstrate relevant knowledge and exposure within the Insurance, Legal or financial sector, ideally with a compliance slant.
