An analytics house based in North London is actively seeking a Cloud Data Architect to join a team responsible for a number of business-critical projects dealing with a range of technical solutions. Travelling to client sites frequently to provide face to face consulting services, meetings and presentation as well as delivering from work and value home. Conducting technical audits of client's existing architectures (Infrastructure, Performance, Security, Scalability and more) document best practices and recommendations. Lead and meet the expectations for client deliverable completion timelines. Work with clients to help them develop data architecture models to further enable effective service oriented delivery. Design and develop best in class cloud-based data management solutions Plan and execute secure, good-practice data integration strategies and approaches Acquire, ingest, and process data from multiple sources and systems into data platforms Create, deploy and manage data environments in the Cloud Leverage information security principles to ensure compliant handling and management of data Work with insights and analytical team members to understand data requirements Provide leadership to data integration team members Hands on solution development leveraging relevant data management and integration technologies Experience: Experience designing cloud solutions incorporating Information Security principles and best practices to ensure designs are in accordance with regulatory data security and data governance guidelines Experience working on projects in a consulting setting (or similar), working on multiple distinct projects at the same time Experience managing teams of both onshore and offshore developers Familiarity with architecture design patterns guiding operational management and development best practices Comprehensive knowledge of full-lifecycle solution development and deployment best practices for the cloud Experience in migration from on-premises data warehouse (SQL Server, Teradata, etc. ) to cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, Snowflake (preferred)) Experience with the full Azure, and/or AWS stack, particularly around Storage, Compute, ETL, Orchestration and Scheduling Strong understanding of data governance principles including, but not limited to Master Data Management, Data Lineage and Data Security Strong experience working with a variety of ETL/ELT tools Strong development background with experience in at least two scripting, object oriented or functional programming language, etc. SQL, Python, Java, Scala, C#, R Data Warehousing experience, building operational ETL/ELT data pipelines across a number of sources, and constructing relational and dimensional data models Strong Solutions architecture experience For more information on this position and other Business Intelligence roles please visit our website Cloud www.searchdatagroup.co.uk SearchData Group are the first choice for Business Intelligence and Data Analytics recruitment across the UK and internationally.
