Overview
Our client, a global engineering consultancy, is now looking for a Fixed Plant Section Leader for their team in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to undertake a leading role in the production of engineering deliverables. Principal responsibilities: Engaging with existing and potential clients to develop relationships. Line management and development of the Fixed Plant design team. Production of tender returns and staff resource forecasts. Working with other Section Leaders within the design offices to ensure effective project delivery. Key skills/experience required: Experience in the line management of staff including being responsible for development, task allocation and the winning of work. A range of experience covering concept design to detailed design as a fixed plant and CRE for Network Rail projects. Specific knowledge in the field of HV/LV power supplies, points heating, lighting, signalling power, earthing and bonding and cable routing. A degree in Electrical Engineering or similar (not mechanically biased). Chartered status with the Institution of Engineering and Technology or equivalent.
