Medical Secretary (Audio Typist) - full time 37.5 hours per week Small but busy private medical practice near Sevenoaks and Tonbridge is seeking a full time Medical Secretary Audio Typist to join our Secretarial Team on a 6-month contract with the possibility of contract extension. We are looking for someone who is an experienced Audio Typist with enthusiasm and flexibility with the ability and willingness to perform secretarial admin duties. Main duties include: Audio typing of clinical letters, medical reports, medico-legal reports and various other correspondence for our Consultants. Specific Tasks: Maintain accurate typing of clinical letters, medical reports, ensuring that a high standard is adhered to at all times Filing of clinical letters and correspondence Production of invoices and recording payments Dealing with telephone and email enquiries and receiving patients for appointments Any other duties as directed by the Practice Manager Personal Profile: Education to A level standard 5 years audio typing experience Good interpersonal skills/good team player Excellent attention to detail Excellent presentation Strong verbal and written communication Audio/Typing skills - 60 wpm Knowledge of MS Word and Excel The hours are 37.5 hours per week 9am to 5pm with half an hour lunch break. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team and will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check.
