Overview

Job Description • Contribute to the go/no go decision, providing opportunity evaluation advice. • Partner with sales and account teams to provide pursuit management support for strategic high-end opportunities. • Advise the pursuit team on client scoping calls and meetings, ensuring that we fully identify the client’s needs. • Develop and execute winning strategies during the pre-RFP and in-pursuit stages and deploy strong influencing skills in support of their adoption by pursuit team. • Serve as a facilitator/key contributor in pursuit strategy sessions to evaluate the business issues and develop tailored solution-focused responses required to meet the clients’ needs. • Manage and lead the value proposition development and strategic messaging to articulate a compelling 'Why Link’ proposition that meets potential client issues and needs. • End-to-end Pursuit management - establish, communicate and pro-actively drive implementation of a pursuit plan that identifies all aspects required to meet the needs of the pursuit. • Be responsible for preparation of the bid document and associated materials, with a laser focus on the creation of bid content and messages that focus on the client’s needs. • Manage the development of ongoing client contact strategy, client stakeholder and relationship mapping and support on client-facing activities. • Establish, build and maintain relationships with other business units across the organisation to identify wider pursuit opportunities, initiatives and communications. • Ensure bid compliance and quality assurance on an on-going basis, monitor and progress key milestones, maintaining regular contact with all stakeholders. • Lead conceptualisation of all client-facing pursuit collateral in conjunction with our internal design team. • Ultimately responsible for quality control of all client-facing materials during the pursuit - conduct editing, proofing and ensure consistency with firm-wide communication guidelines. • Act as the knowledge steward for the pursuit. • Conduct internal Win/Loss debriefs and lead internal pursuit analysis and review; make recommendations for process improvement, develop and execute solutions on an on-going basis. • Individual responsibility for managing and updating repositories of pursuit information. • Influence, challenge and coach sales and account teams to enhance the chances of winning. • Champion and drive the business to use pursuit best-practices, tools and processes. Skills and attributes for success: • Solution-oriented and makes sound decisions quickly, given tight timeframe. • Demonstrate versatility in a constantly evolving environment with a wide variety of social styles. • Work with considerable autonomy while often managing the work of others. • Good understanding of business development and pursuit management. • Proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team environment. • Able to work independently with minimal supervision. • Able to influence without authority, lead and coach others. • Team player and able to build and maintain collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. • Experience of working within professional financial services environment preferable. • Knowledge and experience working on complex pursuits. • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal). • Excellent project management skills. • Someone who can identify, develop and implement innovative approaches to pursuit management and drive adoption of these across the business. Qualifications Required: • Demonstrable experience in bid management. • Strong written English skills. • Excellent communicator and good persuasive skills. • Proven ability in planning, producing and delivering high quality compliant proposals. • Ability to manage multi-worksteam opportunities. • Educated to degree level or equivalent. Desirable: • APMP qualified or equivalent. • Familiar with the industry and competitive marketplace.
