??????Service Manager My client are a South East London Local Government Office based in South East London who are seeking a Service Manager to work within Business Planning, Service Design and Performance. The candidate: Senior level management experience engaging at Chief Executive, Executive Director and Director level; Experience of managing at service group level with particular responsibility for performance covering the wide range of services in a local authority of large public sector organisation; Experience of working within and as part of a service management team; The ability to cover as appropriate for the wider duties and responsibilities from time to time. The role: To advise and support senior management across the Council on business planning, service design performance, data information and analysis. This includes driving innovation in service review, and redesign to effect cost reduction and improved service delivery. To co-ordinate and lead as appropriate with the relevant divisional Heads of Service on the Council’s performance management and the use of data to drive service improvement and underpin service redesign. To drive the development and use of service design tools and techniques to transform delivery. To lead on the development and design of business planning processes and systems for Council services. To support colleagues across the Council and elsewhere to understand the performance information provided. To develop, implement , improve and have oversight of the Council’s business planning and performance management through the provision of robust performance information and target setting This work will: reflect and build on the Council and borough priorities. secure improvements to the quality of life for local residents. To lead on change management initiatives within the scope of the post to ensure that change is managed and sustained, and that corporate programmes and projects are of good quality and meet their objectives. To contribute to the overall corporate leadership and management of the organisation and the modern delivery and improved performance of services.
