Overview

We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company. Manage the provision of services in accordance with the specification and conditions of contract. Develop, implement and manage the ”Annual Service Delivery” plan. Ensure that all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and service standards that have been agreed with the Council are achieved and action plans created to address any variances in KPI and service delivery. Ensure internal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are completed in a timely manner (timescale based on divisional targets). Ensure that all legal policies and procedures and also the company procedures are adhered to and staff have been trained in these. Ensure that all contractual meetings as detailed in the contract are attended by the required numbers and levels of staff. Work with the Council as required ensuring that any inspections are completed. Develop reports for the Council meetings (PCMG/ SIIG) or others as per required timescales. Take ownership for decisions on the contract and manage the service. Develop team by encouraging them to take decisions and support them in this process. Prepare and agree annual budget with Directors. Work with Fleet Commercial Manager to ensure that they understand budget requirements of the fleet department and deliver on budgeted figures. Complete monthly financial reports and submit within the timescales as required by Management Accounts. When accounts are received investigate reasons for any variances and resolve as needed. Variances to budget to be covered in monthly report. Ensure that regular Health and Safety meetings are held on site with required representatives from both workforce and management. Ensure the health and safety of all employees, contractors and site visitors in line with the Company’s procedures and the Health and Safety at Work Act. Work with management team and supervisors to ensure process in place to monitor level of resources used on contract. This to be compared to budgeted levels and reasons for variances to be discussed in depot meetings and actions taken as needed. Hold regular meetings with both workforce and unions. Develop senior management team in the depot and through them the supervisors so they all look to develop additional commercial revenue on the contract. Ensure all Company checks are completed as per current Company standards. Ensure that the monthly core invoice is raised within five working days from the start of the month. Remaining invoices to be raised within 10 days of receipt of order number from Council once work has been completed. With additional commercial work complete random checks on resources used against revenue received to ensure that margins are being achieved or exceeded. Ensure that all vehicles and equipment are maintained accordingly to manufacturers’ recommendations and in adherence with legislation. Hold regular meetings with fleet team on site to check on progress with this. Work with Directors to agree and submit the annual Service Delivery Plan to the Council. General management experience including 3-years operational management experience Proven history of managing multi skilled and unionised workforces Profit and loss management Senior level exposure to tendering support and mobilisation Proven history of managing change, physical & behavioural Able to demonstrate managing larger workforces (100 plus employees) Proven history of managing multi location contracts CPC qualification desirable Can demonstrate leadership skills & styles Can deal with conflict and negotiate desired outcomes Analytical and has techniques for identifying and solving problems Highly numerate and literate, both in verbal and written forms Confident and credible presenter IT literate – comfortable using business software and systems Effective time manager and self-organiser
