Overview

My exciting, growing company based in Minchinhampton are currently recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller to join their progressive, growing company. Reporting to the managing director, the successful applicant will be responsible for the integrity of the business financial controls and systems. The business has ambitious plans and the Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in bringing those plans to fruition. Responsibilities/Duties; -Responsible for the cash flow of the company. -Managing the finance team (2 direct reports) -Prepare monthly management accounts, budget variances and cash flow forecast. -Financially reconcile all purchase and sales orders against invoices and delivery notes. -Liaise with customers and bank to ensure accurate interpretation of direct transfers to our account. -Maintain the PAYE system and be aware of all new tax legislation. -Maintain the VAT register and prepare government stats. -Maintain the fixed asset register. -Present financial information to the company principals on request. -Prepare annual accounts to trial balance level for presentation to auditors. -Reconcile annual stock take. -Maintain complete discretion of all financial matters pertaining to the Company. -Reconcile bank statements. -Maintain all the Company’s insurances ensuring adequate cover for all equipment and personnel. -Maintain all documentation relating to Company vehicles. -Supply aged debtor’s list on a weekly basis to the Sales and PR Coordinator. -Assist the Operations Director in preparing annual budgets. -Maintain the overall Company holiday register. -Administer the Company pension scheme. Candidate Attributes; -The role is open to qualified and non-qualified accountants, but the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate time served experience of the skills required. (3 years minimum) -A manufacturing background would be preferred -Monthly, quarterly and annual management accounting experience. -Management experience with proven ability to coach and develop a team -Able to work independently to strict deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. -The ability to pick up new tasks quickly and accurately and timely to meet monthly deadlines. -Excellent Microsoft Office skills. Hours- Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm Salary- Up to £50,000
