PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR Job brief We are looking for a production supervisor to join our Production team. Established for over 35 years, Spice Packaging Solutions has been one of the foremost industrial and postal paperboard tube manufacturers in the UK. Today the focus is on the development of new products to enable the business to expand into selected premium target markets, all of which require new skills. Working within an established paperboard tube winding facility and reporting to the Production Manager, you will be involved in managing the shift with responsibility for the following: Managing labour, materials and machines on a daily and weekly basis Helping to run machines when required and troubleshooting machine issues Improving and maintaining housekeeping, health & safety and quality standards Organizing goods in, goods out and work in progress on a daily basis Daily & weekly maintenance of machines Deputising for the Production Manager when required. Experience in tube winding or composite can manufacture an advantage, however not essential. Requirements Effective man-management skills Strong commitment to quality, cleanliness and health & safety Reliable and good timekeeping Good numeracy, reading, written and basic computer skills. Forklift license preferable Full car license Wages & Benefits Wages: £10.00 per hour minimum negotiable depending on ability and experience Annual leave: 20 days plus bank holidays Hours: 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Friday typically, although flexibility is required as and when necessary
