Overview

Financial Controller - Milton Keynes - £60,000 - £70,000 As a Financial Controller you will naturally have an in-depth understanding of how a successful Finance function is built and operates. You will have continuously improved reporting processes and sharpened up the accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit functions as well as automating manual tasks to allow your team to up-skill and add value. You may have found yourself partnering at times with operational and commercial finance teams, providing financial reports and talking them through the financial position of the business. In this role, you will have a 50/50 blend of the two. You'll be solely responsible for the financials of an entire business unit, managing a team of 5 and driving best practice in financial control. Outside of these traditional responsibilities of an FC you will also be someone who can effectively partner with non-finance teams and show your commercial spark in helping to deliver sustainable growth and drive cost control. You will take ownership of all monthly budgets and forecasts, providing sales and margin analysis as well as creating engaging and compelling ways to convey financial results to the commercial and operational teams. You will also play a key role in the external audit process, and with that providing financial and regulatory compliant reporting. This is a senior level role and one which will lead a team, so you will be someone who has an ability to lead, to demonstrate a strong commercial awareness, and engage stakeholders at several levels. You'll be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified and ideally have a sound knowledge of transactional finance processes.
