Overview
Finance Officer (AAT Qualified or above). Paying £24k, 6% pension and optional study support for a 35-hour week including flexible working, this superb all-round finance role is based in Stretford, Greater Manchester just off the M60. This is an exciting time to join us as we have ambitious plans for now and the future, for example we will shortly be rebranding and launching our new website. THE ROLE: Reporting into our Finance Manager, and Operations Manager, we are seeking an experienced Finance Officer who will be responsible for the day-to-day financial controls and bookkeeping for the organisation. Key aspects: Production of regular month end management reports. Monthly payroll. Journals accrual & prepayments. Balance sheet reconciliation. Cash & banking management and reconciliation. This is a busy, hands on role working in a small office environment. THE PERSON You must be AAT qualified (or higher) and have strong experience within a small accounts department across the full range of normal accounting functions including reconciliations and journals. Ideally you should also have experience of management accounts and/or payroll. You will have excellent IT skills including working knowledge of accounting systems and excel and be an effective communicator with a desire to help people from all backgrounds. THE ORGANISATION The Autistic Society of Greater Manchester Area (ASGMA) is a diverse, passionate charity with a strong track record in providing quality, person centred support services to individuals with Asperger Syndrome/Higher Functioning Autism including support for parents and carers through our Autism Information and Family Support Project.
