Javascript Developer - Full stack, NodeJS, React, Agile - Inside IR35 You will help to develop the digital platform that delivers services to our users, and you will: assist in the planning and development of our digital services platform assist in the development of individual tools and services within our digital services platform work with other disciplines to understand what needs to be built support other digital colleagues iterate and refactor your coding and those of colleagues to continuously improve the digital offering be responsible for the operational stability of the products you build, and ensure the on-going robustness and resilience of those products. In this role you will be: responsible for development activities participate in the definition and analysis of user requirements and recommend improvements to current business solutions develop technical solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring compliance with best practice maintain and support the existing digital platform incident management, problem resolution, and implementation of enhancements to existing solutions ensure the analysis and design of tools and services adhere to appropriate standards and best practices including the policies and guidance of the Government Digital Service ensure existing documentation is up to date at all times Essential knowledge, skills and experience You will have experience of: working in an Agile environment working with continuous integration and continuous deployment working in a team using GitHub client-side JavaScript (in modern web browsers) server-side JavaScript (Node.js) working in a peer-reviewed environment Desirable knowledge, skills and experience Ideally, you will also have some experience with: serverless architecture, in particular Google Cloud and Firebase Single Page Applications, in particular Vue.js or React JavaScript testing frameworks, in particular Jest testing serverless architecture and Single Page Applications
