Job title: Administration Apprentice - Apprenticeship Location: Harrow Wage: £10,000 - £11,000 Start date: ASAP Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm Time spent in training: You are required to spend a minimum of 7 hours per week in training that supports your apprenticeship course Course entry requirements: GCSEs at grade C/level 4 or above in English and Maths What is an apprenticeship? They are experts in rail recruitment and help their workers to find high-quality rail jobs in many different locations and specialisms. Health & Safety is critical to them and they have one of the most effective compliance operations in the industry. The rail industry makes up a vital part of our country's infrastructure and has seen significant investment over recent years. Within the role you will be assisting the rail team as a business administrator, conducting various tasks to further help the operation of the department, including various tasks such as assisting in the registration of candidates and logging documents, following up on inquiries etc. Benefits include: Apprenticeship training delivered at your workplace to achieve a nationally recognised certificate Competitive apprentice wage Career guidance with opportunities for progression Discounted travel 28 days holiday Job duties and responsibilities: Assist in registration of new candidates Check Registration packs for compliance with Company requirements Follow up individuals completing registration process for information required to make registration pack compliant Enter Candidate Information onto ADAPT System Compete Sentinel Pre-Recruitment checks Manage Additions to and Removals from Sentinel Process Timesheets Chase o/s timesheets for current week Contact individuals to chase missing timesheets and let them know they will not be paid. Check the draft GP against all timesheets they have processed in that week and highlight discrepancies with parties involved Highlight individuals who have worked excessive hours/shift to all members of the Rail Division. Contact all individuals who have worked more than 7 shifts in a row Ensure all excess hours authorisation forms have been received, recorded on shift booking system and filed appropriately Check and validate invoices as required The successful candidate will have the following: Working knowledge of relevant systems, equipment, processes and procedures Competent in a range of IT systems and software Ability to work with others to achieve objectives and provide excellent customer service Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing Accuracy and ability to prioritise and organise own workload At Apprenticeship Connect we take the time to get to know our applicants as individuals and understand their career aspirations, potential and skills.
