Overview
Blackwaters are recruiting: The Firm: Very successful firm that concentrates on good quality clients & their service levels, hence client retention is superb. They have a great track-record for career development, with all Partners joining at non-Partner level this includes the Managing Partner who has progressed from a Senior in under 10 years & the Audit Manager who joined as a Semi-Senior. The firm do not want their staff to be doing overtime & discourage it. Importantly, the firm primarily rate people ( & pay them ) according to their work performance, as much as their exam performance. The Role: Audit Senior : you will plan, lead the execution & finalise audits, reporting to the very approachable Audit Manager. The firm has now grown to 100 statutory audits. Clients, include groups with t/os to £150m. Work includes: groups, consolidations, Forex, Parents of International Groups, subsidiaries of larger parents. Clients are mainly based in Surrey, all but 1 job are commutable, so no 'awayjobs’. They have a good variety of audits from complex to straightforward : a great development environment, as junior staff can be given more responsibility on less complex jobs & then progress in terms of complexity & responsibility. Generally the audit department will also do the Year-End Accounts preparation & Corporation Tax work associated with the client they are auditing. The Right candidate: Nearly, newly or qualified candidates with audit experience, including planning some audits. Candidates qualified by experience. Part-Time candidates considered. What's on offer: The firm pride themselves on being competitive. Salary c £45k for a newly qualified Senior. Plus bonuses of up to 10% based on the firm & individual’s performance.
