Blackwaters are recruiting: The Firm: Growing, very successful 2 office firm has a great track-record for career development & training. The firm do not want their staff to be doing overtime & discourage it. Importantly, the firm primarily rate people according to their work performance, as much as their exam performance. The Role: Audit Semi -Senior : you will assist the audit team in the execution & planning of audits. You will gain great technical exposure at a firm that boasts an impressive volume, variety & quality of clients. The firm has now grown to 100 statutory audits. Clients, include groups with t/os to £150m. Work includes: groups, consolidations, Forex, Parents of International Groups, subsidiaries of larger parents. Clients are mainly based in Surrey, all but 1 job are commutable, so no 'awayjobs’. They have a good variety of audits from complex to straightforward : a great development environment, as junior staff can be given more responsibility on less complex jobs & then progress in terms of complexity & responsibility. Generally the audit department will also do the Year-End Accounts preparation & Corporation Tax work associated with the client they are auditing. The Right candidate: Candidates preferrably with audit experience, be it gained in a General Practice or pure audit role, likely to be studying for AAT or ACCA / ICAEW. Exposure to planning of audits is not necessary experience but would be advantageous. The firm would consider a candidate with pure accounts experience if the candidate is passionate about developing a career in audit.
