Governance Officer / Assistant Company Secretary vacancy based in Manchester Your new company This housing association is head-quartered in Greater Manchester and is recruiting for a Governance Officer to join and support a busy team in ensuring compliance and best practice in housing. Your new role As Governance Officer, you will work closely with the wider Governance & Business Assurance team to deliver on a range of corporate governance requirements including statutory compliance, corporate policies, high quality board support and board appraisals. You must have working knowledge of the regulatory framework as you will be expected to uphold and maintain high standards of regulatory compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) and support the business on governance matters. What you'll need to succeed You will have a proven track record of successfully performing in a company secretarial / corporate governance role in social housing, with a good understanding of the NHF Code of Governance. You will have strong working knowledge of governance principles with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills as you will be engaging with board members and key stakeholders. You will ideally have the ICSA qualification or be working towards this and you must be available to start remotely.
