Specialists in professional temporary recruitment Interim Category Manager Opportunities Based in London Length: 3 months initially IR35: Inside A local authority in London is looking to recruit two Category Managers with demonstrable and recent experience in repairs and maintenance, and corporate property to join their team. Category Manager - Maintenance Main Responsibilities include: Procuring refurbishment and maintenance contracts, including the development and delivery of a framework agreement for maintenance and capital planned works Providing strategic guidance and advice to senior management Working closely with the Council’s Housing Asset Management Service as well as the Category Lead for construction and environment Overseeing contracts negotiations and the contract management for major works and services Category Manager – Corporate Property Main Responsibilities include: Leading on the procurement work stream for a range of major and strategically significant contracts within corporate property Providing advice to the Project Sponsor and Project Board/Team on the Council’s procurement processes and best practice with regards to the commercial aspects of procurement activities Drafting tender and contract documents including support for the development of requirement specification Key Skills: Experience of procuring maintenance and/or corporate property contracts Knowledge of and/or qualifications in best practice procurement standards and methods Excellent communication and project management skills A can-do attitude to influence practice in the housing services area of the Council Previous experience within the public sector would be beneficial but is not essential If you have experience to match the requirements, or if you would like more information on the role, please contact Niki Holdich on and email your CV to Venn Group’s “Recommendation Scheme”: if you recommend a candidate who is subsequently placed by Venn Group (for a minimum of 2 weeks) you will be eligible for vouchers from a choice of high street organisations.
