Advancing People are actively seeking strong candidates to join our client who are a leading Insurance Group as an Accounts Assistant/Cashier where you will support the business in handling client payments. If you have previous experience of working within an Accounts Department and/or have experience of handling client payments for services in a head office environment then this is a great opportunity to create an exciting career path. Role Summary Provide Accounts/Cashier service for all companies within the Group. Achieve targets, develop the business and deliver an excellent and comprehensive service. Ensure that responsibilities are completed in accordance with Group and/or Company policies. Clients Develop strong relationships with the Business Units, Suppliers & Markets Respond to the Business Units' requirements as appropriate Behave with all clients (both internal and external) fairly and ethically Administration Bank and allocate incoming cash and cheques Process cheque and electronic payments for all Group company bank accounts Process inter-group cash transfer requests for all Group company bank accounts Review and arrange authorization of correctly processed payment requests Processing of entries onto Group company Accounting and Banking systems Reconcile and maintain all bank and system records Process IBA credit card payments Deal with accounts queries promptly and efficiently Required Skills Numerate Attention to detail with ability to produce accurate documentation and to file documents appropriately Ability to work effectively within a team Prioritisation and organisational skills - able to work to deadlines Self motivated Competent IT skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders Knowledge and Experience Experience not essential, training will be given.
