Procurement at Sellafield is changing We are creating a high performing, agile supply chain function and currently have several opportunities for Senior Buyers. We are looking for candidates that will drive change and constantly exceed the expectations of the business and our stakeholders. The roles are based in our Engineering Equipment Supplies and Products (EES&P) category and are located either near to our site in West Cumbria or at our offices in Warrington. The Opportunities: Senior Buyer Manufactured Products- Machine & Fabrication - West Cumbria- Salary £33,218 The Machine And Fabrication Senior Buyer will be responsible for the contract and transactional duties of this fast pace agreement utilising SAP and CTM on a daily basis. This entails running mini competitions on CTM between 3 successful suppliers on the framework and obtaining the best leadtimes and prices for the business and also management of general contract activities. Items within this portfolio are Critical spares, essential for plant operations and without them site operations would stop therefore this relatively high profile contract. Essential and Desirable Skills Essential Skills Ability to manage the tender process for contracts within own delegation and providing a lead support role in the tender process for contracts >£3m. Role holders will be required to have a broad knowledge of and be actively involved in all procurement processes and commercial strategic initiatives including Make V Buy and routes to market and will be required to liaise with the legal team and other identified stakeholders in order to draft appropriate contractual agreements. Be able to undertake contract management activities for contracts within their portfolio with minimal support from their line manager. Required to challenge clients and suppliers to ensure value for money and acceptable supplier performance, whilst maintaining good working relationships. Identify and implement opportunities for improvement and build into associated Commercial activities. Competent in Commercial Systems and be able to train, mentor and coach others in the use of these systems. Be able to operate with minimum supervision. Good knowledge of contract law and the ability to draft/ amend contracts. Proven experience of procurement category management. Proven experience of effective Communication. Proven experience of effective negotiation and influencing skills. Desirable Skills Management experience.
