Overview
A premier Investment Bank requires an experienced C++ Engineer to join their Electronic Equities business. They provide clients Cash Equities execution on 100 markets in 30 countries worldwide. Capabilities include: Sponsored and Direct Market Access, Smart Order Routing, and Algorithmic execution. Technology is a key factor to success of this business, hence they focus on a small number of technologies and platforms, each dedicated and optimised for particular function to archive best results. Key Responsibilities: Every day coding in C++ Work effectively in a flat compact and regionally distributed multi-skilled team Take end-to-end responsibility for delivery: working with other IT groups to define and deliver proper hardware infrastructure, deploy components, work with Support teams to establish monitoring, etc. Be heavily involved in architectural design discussions to help shape the strategic direction of the platform Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in coding with C++ in a professional Linux environment. Oracle SQL and Bash/Perl/Python scripting desirable. Engineering low latency solutions desirable. A track record of excellent communication skills working with business partners and other developers. Experience of working in a robust technology environment with a clear appreciation of software development best practices and change control procedures. Finance experience in Front Office Technology domain is preferred but not essential. Understanding of market microstructure in Equity markets is preferred but not essential.
