We are seeking an ICT Infrastructure Technician to join our team based at our head office in Fareham. This exciting opportunity will involve providing an effective ICT service delivery to the organisation; implementing best practices; ensuring an effective documented control framework is in place to ensure security is maintained at all times on the organisation information assets; support end users; and implementation of key ICT projects. Your main responsibilities will involve to: Plan, organise, control and evaluate IT systems and services as required by the organisation Support Head of ICT and Digital Forensics to draft IT policies and procedures Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems Maintain an operational equipment deployment methodology including documentation, evolution and change management of deployment systems Oversee the ICT Service Desk to resolve day to day operational issues Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time Preserve assets, information security and control structures Manage the Virtual infrastructure, LAN, WAN and inter office communication systems Support the Digital Forensics service Work to support and if necessary to deputise for the Head of ICT and Digital Forensics Maintain perimeter security appliances Undertake daily maintenance checks Development and implementation of Key Performance Indicators and provide regular reports to the Head of ICT and Digital Forensics Your skills and qualifications will include: Recognised ICT qualifications Commitment to professional development and awareness of development of all aspects of role Demonstrable experience in managing IT systems Technical knowledge and experience of fault diagnosis and repair, software installation and troubleshooting and the building and maintenance of desktop operating systems. Experience of Office 365 migration LAN / WAN / VPN (IPSec and SSL) installations and connectivity Technical Knowledge and experience of VMWare Virtual environments and SANs Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Products such as Exchange server, Windows Server, MDT, WSUS, Active Directory, Powershell Managing endpoint security products Unified Threat Management appliance management (Firewall / Perimeter security) A full driving licence is essential as the successful candidate may be required to undertake travel to other TIAA premises The successful candidate must be eligible to live and work in the UK and due to the geographically dispersed nature of our work, from time to time it may also be necessary to stay away from home.
