Position: Support Worker Location: Ipswich Job type: Permanent (guaranteed hours), up to 39 hours per week - This role is shift work Hours: Full time, part time and relief hours available Salary: £8.50 per hour overtime and sleep-ins available Full induction process, outstanding training opportunities, development and career progression, opportunities to gain recognised qualifications, free DBS screening. About the role: The role of a Support Worker is to ensure the people you work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives. Supporting someone with Learning Disabilities isn't just personal care; it's so much more. A Support Worker could be taking the people supported swimming, assisting with the weekly shop, or even helping to administer the right medication. The role of role Support Worker is incredibly varied, you will be supporting people with all aspects of daily living and no two days are the same. About You: As a Support Worker in this service you don't need to have worked in supported living before. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you. A basic level of English and Maths is also required. You will need to be flexible and able to work various shift patterns including early and late shifts and sleep-ins for which additional payments will be made.
