Overview

We are working with a well known housing developer in the south east of England who succefully deliver beautiful, quality homes in varying and bespoke ranges. Due to company growth we are looking for someone to be part of a strong and exciting construction team. You will oversee project progress in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for budgeting, organisation, implementation and scheduling of the projects. Responsibilities Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion Responsible for Construction Programmes and ensuring deadlines are met Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors Meet contractual conditions on performance Review and monitor the work progress Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences Analyse, manage and mitigate risks Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques Ensure company standards and quality is being met Requirements Proven working experience in construction management Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods Construction related degree, such as Quantity Surveying, Engineering and Construction Management. Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards Understanding of all facets of the construction process Familiarity with construction management software packages Competent in conflict and crisis management Excellent time and project management skills
