Work in a High Performing Local Authority A London based Local Authority which has achieved an Outstanding Ofsted rating is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Child Protection service to further increase the number of permanent members of the team Highlights: Local Authority received an Outstanding Ofsted The team consists of mainly permanent staff and this post will further increase stability Caseloads in the team are low for the region and average around 16 children Will gain exposure to CSE, Gangs, Substance Misuse and Parental Mental Health cases Local Authority has plenty of resources which Social Workers have access to, which effectively reduces your workload Very supportive management who encourage their staff to attend training courses - will have the opportunity to complete PEPS, ABE and other courses This is an excellent opportunity for those candidates who are keen to develop their experience and gain exposure to specialist cases within a high performing Local Authority, which provides dedicated time to its staff to attend training and courses. As the service is performing well you wont be overwhelmed with a high case load and will have the full support of your managers and senior members of the team. The Local Authority understand the importance of developing its staff and therefore you will be encouraged to attend training and courses such as PEPS and ABE. You will also have a chance to review your training on an annual basis with your Team Manager and highlight ares where you would like to develop. Another feature of this post is the experience you will gain with complex cases such as CSE, Gangs and Substance Misuse, all of which are current themes across Social Work. Those individuals who have experience of working on these cases are highly sought after, this will ultimately improve your employability in the future.
