Overview
Supply Chain Analyst FTC 6 months Our client is a heavy engineering specialist based in North Lanarkshire who are now recruiting a Supply Chain Analyst. Key Responsibilities Quickly reach an understanding and detailed knowledge of product specifications and plant capability required to ensure accurate translation of customer order requirements into Instruction to Supply Control and monitor plant capacities and capabilities in line with current production and future demand and assist in the planning of rolling and downstream activities Apply product to customer orders to ensure maximum yield and least cost option Monitor client’s product stock in line with current / future demand; optimise use of outers and input to the order process Project Manage key customer contracts / projects and provide proactive progress reports/ updates to key internal and external stakeholders; highlight issues /recommend solutions to line manager for action Other Responsibilities Vet and carry out requests for order amendments as appropriate Operate and manage reclamation system and control sales ex stock Responsible for processing all aspects of customer enquiries and orders, from receipt, through to delivery to the customer Expedite orders from receipt to despatch to ensure business and customer goals are met Field and action inbound requests (telecom / email) from customers and sales team Manage customer ‘book ins’ following close liaison with despatch teams, highlight issues and take action to resolve any delays in customers accepting material Produce and keep up to date the weekly and monthly KPI monitors in a timely fashion Produce adhoc reports as required Any other duties required from time to time Experience IT Skills - Excel, previous use of ERP system Strong Arithmetic/Mathematical skills Confident with a flair to excel Enthusiastic, flexible, with a can-do attitude Well organised, with meticulous attention to detail Able to work under own initiative and under pressure Excellent written and verbal communication skills This is an excellent opportunity to join a global engineering company.
