Overview

Orion Group Life Sciences are looking for a Health Economics Associate for our Multinational Pharmaceutical client based in the Middlesex area on an initial 24-month contract with the potential to extend. Job Purpose We are currently seeking entry level candidates with strong quantitative skills and analytic thinking to join the Economic Modeling team on-site. We develop decision analytic models for health economic evaluation and apply a range of statistical, epidemiological, and other quantitative methods. We work in cross-functional teams. The activities include developing early economic models for pipeline assets, supporting pricing strategy, building core models and performing local model adaptations for Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions, as well as developing tools supporting value communication. Main Responsibilities of the role Support development and updates of core global cost-effectiveness and budget impact models in collaboration with cross-functional local, regional and global teams Support economic model adaptations to address local requirements Provide input to design and interpretation of evidence generation studies Interpret clinical study results and support planning of additional statistical analyses needed for core models and local adaptations, including indirect treatment comparisons Support reporting of economic section of HTA pricing and reimbursement submission Desired Experience and Background of the successful candidate MSc or equivalent in one of the following subjects: Health Economics, Economics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Engineering, etc. Strong programming skills (e.g. advanced analyses in Excel, VBA, statistical software, etc.) Preferred Requirements: 1-2-year relevant working experience in the pharmaceutical industry, consultancy, academia, reimbursement agencies or equivalent Experience in building and/or adapting economic models such as cost-utility, cost-effectiveness, budget-impact, Markov or discrete event simulation models, etc. Demonstrated skills in project management Experience in the development of HTA reports and/or performing literature reviews Strong analytical skills Strong written and oral communication skills Fluency in English pharmaceutical pharma multinational product healtheconomics HTA modelling For more information on this role, call Kate O' Sullivan on 44 (0) or email for a completely confidential chat about this role and other opportunities using the reference number: 930429 Our role in supporting diversity and inclusion As an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
