Overview
Data Scientist – New Data Scientist position has arisen at a client of mine based in Edinburgh. As the organisation continues to grow, they are seeking 2 Data Scienists to join their team. The business is a pioneering consultancy at the forefront of the industry and have clients in Europe and in North America. As Data Scientist you will be involved in Exploratory Data Analysis, while helping to maintain and develop the way in which the business implements Big Data tools. In order to apply, you will ideally come from a Statistics or Analytics background. Unlike other Data Scientists positions, this has a client facing aspect to it too, it is not for someone who just wants to sit behind a computer all day long. As with many Data Scientist roles, Data cleaning is a key element of the role and knowledge of Python or R programming will be required. Furthermore knowledge of Machine Learning is also preferred so any advanced knowledge algorithms and statistical knowledge will be key. The company works in the Medical/Pharmaceuticals industry so if you want to get involved within this industry, it is a perfect opportunity for you. The Data Scientist is a brand-new requirement and my client is looking to fill the position as soon as possible, with interviews lined up via Skype.
